The eight official (competition) boottypes are
devided in two groupes:
Punt
Hereby
uses each of the rower only one oar. You are rowing either on starboard or
on larboard.
There exist 5 different punt-boates with two of them offers place for the
cox.
double
In
the double boats each rower rows with 2 oars. even at starboard or at
larboard you have a oar.
There
are three types of double boats, all without coxer. Only on some
recreation boats you'll find a coxer.

4+ (four with coxer)

2X (dubbel two)
8+ (eight with coxer)
4X (dubbel four)
